The Barrett Family Foundation (BFF) makes a significant donation to Humber College to create a state-of-the-art innovation center for technology known as “The Barrett Centre of Technology Innovation”.
The Barrett family’s philanthropy expands with a second faculty chair – The Robert K. Barrett Chair in Polymer Science – at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The first chair, the W. D. Barrett Chair was established by Bob Barrett’s father in 1972.
Bob Barrett establishes a Chair in Sustainable Food Engineering at the University of Guelph. Included in the objectives of the Chair are research in Sustainable Packaging Solutions and Bio-Resins.
